Figure books up to 100,000 GPUs in a $3.5 billion Nscale deal

The humanoid robot race now has its own gigascale compute contract.
The deal
Figure signed a $3.5 billion compute agreement with Nscale for up to 100,000 Vera Rubin GPUs, with deployment targeted for the second half of 2027 in Texas.
Robots are becoming a compute story
Training robot foundation models takes the same class of infrastructure as frontier language models, and Figure is now booking it years ahead, the way the big labs book theirs. A six-figure GPU reservation signals that the bottleneck in humanoids is shifting from hardware bodies to training capacity.
The 2027 timing also says something about roadmap: the capacity arrives when Figure expects its data flywheel, robots in the field feeding training, to need it.
