Higgsfield's plugin brings its video and image models inside ChatGPT
Higgsfield is now inside ChatGPT, and it is official. On August 12, 2026 the company announced its plugin in the ChatGPT app: image and video generation without leaving the chat.
What the plugin includes
The model list is the headline: Seedance 2.5, Seedream 5.0 Pro, GPT Image 2.0 and Kling 3.0, all callable straight from the conversation. Skills like Faceless Channel, Narrator and Subtitles are live inside it too, so one chat can go from idea to visuals, video, voiceover and captions without switching tools.
The announcement pulled over 300K views on X in a day, and the plugin listing is live in ChatGPT’s plugin directory.
The interface consolidation
The bigger pattern is where the front end is moving. The chat window is quietly becoming the control surface for the whole creative pipeline: describe what you want, and the models get orchestrated behind the scenes. Users stop opening five tools and start describing outcomes.
For Higgsfield, distribution inside ChatGPT means meeting users where they already are instead of pulling them to another app. For OpenAI, every serious creative tool that ships as a plugin makes the chat more of a platform and less of a product. Both sides benefit today. Who owns the customer relationship when the interface is a conversation is the question this arrangement defers.
